Actor John Stamos was arrested on June 12, 2015 in Beverly Hills for allegedly driving under the influence, according to the police.
At around 7:45 p.m., the Beverly Hills Police Department had received numerous calls from concerned citizens, reporting an erratic driver around Canon Drive and South Santa Monica Boulevard, according to a news release published by the police.
The officers eventually caught up to the erratic driver, and got him to pull over at Beverly Drive and South Santa Monica Boulevard. Once the officer approached the vehicle, the driver turned out to be Full House star, John Stamos, who was alone in the vehicle.
According to the police, the Beverly Hills Fire Department took Stamos over to a local hospital for observation because they were concerned about a possible medical condition.
At the hospital, it was determined that Stamos had been driving under the influence. Stamos was then placed under arrest.
According to NBC News, Stamos was issued a citation for DUI and released to the care of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The actor is scheduled to appear at the Airport Courthouse near Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on Sept. 11.
The following day Stamos Tweeted that he was “home and well.” He went on to thank everyone for their love and support.
Stamos, 51, is known for his role as Uncle Jessie on the 90s family comedy, Full House. He is starring in the upcoming Fox sitcom Grandfathered. Another one of his big projects includes producingFuller House, a spinoff of Full House, which will be premiering on Netflix in 2016. Stamos had a starring role as Dr. Tony Gates from 2006 to 2009 on ER.
