Don't Get a DUI On Your Wedding Day!

Are you getting married in Orange County, California? While December may not be the busiest wedding month of the year, the ideal weather and year-round sunshine in Southern California makes it one of the best places to have the wedding of your dreams, even if your colors are black and red.

For all of the brides, grooms (especially the grooms) and wedding parties out there, we want to warn you about drinking and driving during the wedding celebrations. In the past, we’ve had clients who were in wedding parties get arrested for DUI on the “big day,” so don’t let that happen to you!

Orange County is a Popular Wedding Destination

We don’t have to convince you that Orange County has some of the most beautiful coastline in the United States. From Newport Beach, to Laguna Beach, to Aliso Beach and Dana Point, tourists and LA County residents flock to South Orange County all year to take in the beautiful sights and breathe in the crisp, fresh air.

Just some of the great places to get married in Orange County, include:

  • Balboa Bay Resort (Newport Beach)
  • Avenue Of the Arts Hotel (Costa Mesa)
  • THE RANCH (Anaheim)
  • Salt Creek Grille Dana Point
  • Hotel Laguna
  • The Clubhouse at Anaheim Hills Golf Course
  • Cannons Seafood Grill
  • Wedgewood Aliso Viejo
  • Surf & Sand Resort (Laguna Beach)
  • Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort and Spa
  • St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort

Whether this is your first wedding or your third, we can almost guarantee the alcohol will be flowing. Don’t be surprised if a well-meaning maid of honor, best man, or even wedding planner offers you a few or even several drinks before the ceremony begins. You know, to calm your nerves.

If you’re getting married at a church and driving to the reception location, your wedding party has to be especially aware. Make sure you assign a designated driver so you don’t risk having a wedding DUI ruin your celebrations!

If you’re superstitious and worried about something going wrong on the big day, it’s better to have your bad luck come in the form of rain, an ice sculpture that melts, or a horrible DJ rather than a DUI that makes you miss your own wedding!

If you, or a member of your wedding party are arrested for DUI, call on the Law Offices of Virginia L. Landry, Inc. to work with one of Orange County’s top DUI defense firms!
