DUI Defendant Agrees to Guilty Plea for Role in Accident

This month, a man that was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) in Escondido, California entered a plea of guilty to all of the criminal counts filed against him. Reports indicate thet 23-year-old B.M. pleaded guilty to three DUI charges – one being having a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08% or higher at the time of his arrest in San Diego County.

While driving drunk on February 9th, B.M. drove his truck into a residence. The homeowner, T.V., was outside the house at the time of the DUI accident and sustained critical injuries as a result. T.V. had just come back from walking his dogs when he was hit by B.M.'s truck. After being hit, he remained pinned underneath the vehicle until emergency crews were able to free him and take him to a local hospital for treatment. Due to his guilty plea, B.M. faces a sentence of seven years behind bars. If you caused a DUI accident and are hoping to fight your charges, contact the Law Offices of Virginia L.
