Drunk Driver Caught with Monkey in Back Seat

Police discovered more than they expected in the back seat of a motorist's vehicle last week. The man operating the vehicle was not only speeding and driving under the influence (DUI), but also had a pet monkey with him. According to the police report, E.C.K. was pulled over in Largo, Florida for driving past the posted speed limits. When the officers approached his vehicle, it quickly became apparent that he was also driving intoxicated. The suspect was detained on charges of felony DUI and driving with a suspended license. News sources say that E.C.K. has been detained multiple times for the same charges in the past.

After the Largo Police Department was finished processing him, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission sent an officer out to charge the suspect with two counts of violating fish and wildlife rules and one count of possession of wildlife. E.C.K.'s monkey was taken into custody by the wildlife officers. It is uncertain what will happen to it next to the animal.
