Son of Famous Televangelist Arrested for Drunk Driving

In the state of Oklahoma, it was reported that 63-year-old Richard Roberts was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI). The son of the famous televangelist Oral Roberts was first witnessed speeding in a 65 MPH zone. When officers finally caught up with him, they quickly determined that he was under the influence of alcohol. Not only did he smell of alcohol but he failed two field sobriety tests. When the arresting officers conducted a breath test, his blood-alcohol was revealed to be 0.11 percent, well above the state legal limit of 0.08.

Roberts was charged with DUI and speeding. He was later released on $1,100 bail from a Tulsa jail. If you have recently been arrested for driving under the influence, you need to seek legal counsel immediately. You could be subjected to harsh criminal penalties based on state law and your previous arrests. If you're ready to contest your charges, contact the Law Offices of Virginia L. Landry today and arrange a time to discuss your legal options with an Orange County DUI lawyer from our team.
