Underage DUI Leads to Crash and Death of Teen

One young girl is likely to spend years in jail for taking the life of her friend during a drunk driving accident. According to the Waynesville police department, the suspect, 17-year-old C.M., pulled out of a gas station and directly into the path of an oncoming SUV. She had three passengers with her at the time, one of whom lost her life. The front seat passenger, 17-year-old A.S., lost her life in the crash. The other two passengers were brought to area hospitals in critical condition.

The teenage driver has been charged with misdemeanor underage DUI and vehicular manslaughter in addition to other charges.
