Hines Ward Receives Community Service for DUI

When a famous football player was pulled over last year from driving under the influence, his arrest made national headlines. Several months later, his legal team has been successful in having the charges dropped against their client, Hines Ward. The receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers was detained last July in DeKalb County when officers noticed him swerving across the road. After he struck a curb, Ward was pulled over and given standard field sobriety tests. The athlete failed the tests and then refused to submit to a Breathalyzer exam. He was booked and charged with DUI.

Last week Ward pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of reckless driving. He was given one year probation and must complete 80 hours of community service. He must also pay a fine of $2,000. Have you recently been arrested for driving under the influence? If so, you could be facing serious DUI penalties. Fight your charges now by contacting the Law Offices of Virginia L. Landry to enlist the services of an experienced Orange County DUI attorney from our team. With our help, it is possible to contest your charges and move on with your life.
