A baseball player was taken into custody by police last week in the state of Florida. The injured Bobby Jenkins was pulled over when police noticed him driving erratically around Fort Meyers. According to the police report, Jenkins was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, property damage and DUI. When officers asked him about the incident, he stated that he had taken too many muscle relaxers. Although he did not admit to drinking, police learned that he had just left a dance club moments before he was pulled over.
Jenkins, who plays as a reliever for the Boston Red Soxs, had two back surgeries during the off-season. As a result, he was prescribed muscle relaxers by his doctor. He told a media source in 2010 that he had stopped drinking, largely in part since he was a father of four. It has not been confirmed or denied whether alcohol played a part in the events of last weekend. Were you recently pulled over for DUI? Are you facing charges?
