Son of Actor Pleads Not Guilty to DUI Charges

The son of an older actor was arrested for possible DUI of drugs earlier this year after causing a serious accident.

Last week, the 46-year-old made his first court appearance in months to plead not guilty to the charges against him. For causing the car accident that left another motorist injured, he now faces six misdemeanor and felony counts, including possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a controlled substance and DUI involving injury. Should he be convicted of all the counts against him, the man could face up to 11 years and six months behind bars.

At the same hearing, his bail was reduced, allowing him to leave jail. He was ordered not to drive at all until his case has been heard. Naturally, he is not allowed to use drugs either, which may be difficult for him, as he was found to have marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamines and Xanax in his blood at the time of the accident.

If you have been arrested for DUI of drugs, don't wait to contact the Law Offices of Virginia L. Landry to speak with an Orange County DUI lawyer about your defense options.
