Man Pleads Guilty to DUI Accident That Killed 20 Year Old

Henry Stoltman, 28, pleaded guilty to a fatal drunk driving accident that occurred in August of 2010. He was found to have consumed four times the legal limit in Colorado; his BAC was found to be .301 about fifty minutes after the accident happened. The legal threshold in Colorado is .08.

Stoltman's careless driving tragically took the life of 20-year-old Rebekah Joy King on August 2, 2010.

He pled guilty to a single count of vehicular homicide last week in court. He will face his final sentencing hearing on March 11 before District Judge Richard Gurley. He could receive a maximum sentence of 24 years in prison.

When he was pulled over by Colorado State Patrol troopers Stoltman attempted to convince officers that he had had only 4.5 beers earlier in the night. An officer had originally been attempting to pull him over for driving without his headlights on when he witnessed the accident happen.
