Man Gets 15 Years for DUI Accident that Killed Two Nuns

Drinking and driving is no joke, especially when it leads to innocent people being killed.

A 62-year-old male heard his final sentence last week in Fort Meyers, Florida where he took the lives of two nuns and injured a third in 2009. The DUI accident happened in September 2009 when the defendant struck a vehicle carrying the three nuns. He was found to be intoxicated at the time and was charged with DUI as well as vehicular manslaughter by local police officers.

After consulting with his legal team, the defendant decided to plead guilty to the two manslaughter charges in exchange for a shorter prison term of 15 years.

When you are arrested for vehicular manslaughter, your whole world feels like it has turned upside down. Rather than face the judge alone, contact the Law Offices of Virginia L. Landry so you have a legal advocate on your side as you contest your DUI charges.
