DUI Checkpoint Scheduled in Laguna

If you live in Laguna Beach, California, it is important for you to know that local police are planning to conduct a DUI checkpoint to crack down on drunk drivers.  The DUI checkpoint will take place during Memorial Day weekend.  During that time, police officers will be on the lookout for people who are DUI and driving without valid licenses.

The checkout is expected to take place on May 29th from 9PM until 3AM.  At this time, the checkpoint location has not been announced to the public.

This is the second DUI checkpoint that Laguna police have conducted this year and there are plans for two more to be held later in 2010.  All checkpoints are funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
