Despite countless media warnings about the increased DUI enforcement efforts planned for Super Bowl weekend, 42 drivers were arrested Sunday on suspicion of driving under the influence.
The county-wide enforcement efforts were carried out by the "Avoid 38" task force, made up of officers from the Orange County Sheriff's Department, the California Highway Patrol, and several local police departments.
The DUI task force had roving patrols throughout the county.
