5 Arrested at Costa Mesa DUI Checkpoint

Last week we blogged about a DUI checkpoint scheduled in Costa Mesa on Newport Boulevard at Flower Street. Yesterday, the Orange County Register reported that five people were arrested at the checkpoint on suspicion of drunk driving.

In addition to the 5 arrests, the OC Register reported that eight citations were issued and two vehicles were impounded for 30 days.

In total, 2,237 cars went through the checkpoint, and police screened 479 drivers.
