New Law to Effect 2ndDUI Offenders in Orange County, California
Posted By Law Offices of Virginia L. Landry
As of July 1, 2010, a new law will take effect in the state of California and it will impact those who have been charged with a 2nd DUI offense.  The law is located in the Vehicle Code Section 13352 (a)(3) and it may decrease the amount of time DUI offender’s licenses are suspended.

With the new law, people who drive under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol and are convicted after July 1, 2010 will face a certain period of driver’s license suspension.  However, they will be able to obtain a restricted license after 90 days if they agree to have an ignition interlock device installed in their vehicles.

Still, people must be aware of the fact that if they lose their DMV hearings for their Orange County DUI, they will have their driver’s license suspended for a year.

If you have been charged with a 2nd DUI in Orange County, now is the time to speak with an Orange County DUI attorney from the Law Offices of Virginia L. Landry.
