Do I Need an Orange County DUI Attorney?

So, you were arrested for driving under the influence in Orange County, California. This is your first ever DUI offense and now you’re wondering what to do. Do you represent yourself and plead guilty? Do you use the same lawyer who handled your divorce? Or, do you hire a DUI defense specialist?

Would you perform your own surgery? Since that’s a big “No!” you shouldn’t represent yourself in court either. If you wanted a tooth pulled, would you ask your primary care physician to do it, or would you call an experienced dentist to perform the extraction?

It’s not all that different with DUIs. You don’t want to defend yourself because you have zero experience and you probably don’t have a law degree. You could use a general practice attorney who mainly focuses on civil litigation and family law, but why would you want to call him or her if they’ve only handled a few DUI cases over their careers?

What is my best option?

Your last and best option is to call in an expert – a DUI defense specialist who has defended not a handful of DUI cases, but hundreds, if not thousands over the years. You need someone who understands the science behind chemical tests (e.g. blood and breath tests) and how they influence California DUI cases.

At our DUI defense firm, you will be represented by some of the best DUI attorneys in Orange County and throughout Southern California. To understand what we are talking about, check out our lead attorney’s credentials:
