Government Official's Relative Arrested for DUI

One high profile government official received unwanted press this week when the half-brother of his late father was arrested for DUI.

According to police reports, the 67-year-old man was traveling near a bar when officers noticed his erratic driving. They pulled him over and quickly determined that he was under the influence of alcohol. After giving him the standard field sobriety tests, they had enough evidence to book him on suspicion of DUI.

Although he denied having drunk any alcohol at first, the man soon admitted to having several beers that night. The smell of alcohol, along with his red eyes gave officers more than enough reason to subject him to several field sobriety tests. He was taken into custody without incident and is being held in a local jail. At this time, the government official related to the suspect is not commenting on the DUI arrest.
