Train Accident Results in DUI Accident Arrest

The DUI accident occurred last week when a 29-year-old driver drove off a country road and onto train tracks. Once stuck on the tracks, a passenger train slammed into her car, causing it to catch on fire. Although twenty people were on board the train at the time, nobody was hurt, including the train conductor and staff.

When an officer from the California Highway Patrol arrived on the scene, he quickly determined that the female driver was intoxicated. She was arrested for DUI and causing a DUI accident. Additional charges could follow pending an investigation.
