DUI Accident Turns Deadly

A DUI accident turned fatal in El Dorado County last weekend. According to the California Highway Patrol, two men were traveling on El Dorado County Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle when attempting to navigate a turn in the road. His BMW hit an embankment and then hit a tree, causing the death of passenger Timothy Chapman, 40.

Although police were keeping the driver's identity a secret at first, it is a secret no longer: Sean Perry, 43, is responsible for the death of his friend in the DUI accident. While Chapman died on the scene, Perry was airlifted to Sutter Roseville with multiple injuries, including head trauma. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
