Man Found Guilty of Felony DUI after 6 Minutes

It only took six minutes for a jury in Glenn County to find a man guilty of felony DUI.

Of course, it didn't help that the defendant, Reginald Dennis Scott, 63, supposedly showed up to court drunk for his pretrial hearing. Authorities are still attempting to determine whether Scott drove himself from his home in San Pablo to the court hearing on that day.

According to a report by Glenn County District Attorney Robert Maloney, Scott ran his vehicle off the road and into a barbed-wire fence on March 10, 2010. The following month Scott was arrested on drunken driving charges as well as two felony DUI counts and a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended license. When officers took his blood alcohol level at the time of arrest, it was four times the legal state limit.

Scott even had the chance to dismiss some of his earlier charges by pleading guilty in this current case, but he rejected the offer.
