Ice Cream Truck Driver Found DUI

A parent's worst nightmare almost came true when the reliable ice cream man took to the streets drunk, almost striking a young child on his route.

When someone alerted the Pasco County Sheriff's Office that the man appeared to be intoxicated they were able to locate and pull him over before he could truly injure someone. Officers were convinced that he was indeed drunk when he staggered out of the truck and recited his birthday when asked for his address. There were also two open bottles of whiskey in his truck, prompting them to take a blood-alcohol test. The result was a figure that was nearly three times the legal limit.

The man was taken in on a DUI arrest and later released on his own recognizance.
