Charlie Bell Arrested for DUI

Another athlete has seen the inside of a jail cell, this time it is reserve guard Charlie Bell of the Warriors.

Bell was taken into custody last Friday by the California Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was picked up by police around 3 a.m.  by Lake Merritt in Oakland.

In a statement to the press Warriors general manager Larry Riley said, "We are obviously disappointed that one of our players would put himself in a questionable situation -- regardless of the outcome -- as this is certainly something we do not condone as an organization and take very seriously."

The reserve guard has seen limited playing time during his career with the Warriors, including six seconds against the Los Angeles Clippers.
