Actress Jaime Pressly Formally Charger with DUI

The actress most recently known for her role in "My Name is Earl" has officially been charged with two counts of DUI. Jaime Pressley was arrested in early January in Santa Monica, CA and is now facing a legal headache.

The Santa Monica City Attorney's Office filed a formal complaint stating the violation of California Vehicle Code section 23152 subsection A. The second count against Pressley was a violation of the vehicle code section 23152 subsection B since her blood-alcohol level was .20% or higher, according to Melanie Shehar of the city attorney's office.

Pressely was pulled over on January 5 around 11 p.m. and immediately booked on suspicion of DUI. She was taken to the Santa Monica jail by the arresting officers. An eyewitness observed Pressley at Locanda del Lago, a popular restaurant in Santa Monica, earlier that night.

This charge comes in conjunction with the latest news that Pressley's marriage appears to be failing as well. After just 15 months of marriage to husband Simran Singh the two are looking to call it quits.
