Antoine Wright Arrested for DUI

On Thursday evening, it is said that Sacramento Kings forward Antoine Wright was placed under arrest by local police for driving under the influence.  The team confirmed Wright's arrest on Friday by issuing a statement of apology from Wright.

Bill Portanova, Wright's attorney, told sources that his client is cooperating fully with police in Sacramento.  Through the team, Wright said, "I sincerely apologize to my teammates and coaches, the Sacramento Kings organization, the Sacramento community and fans and my family."

When asked about possible suspension, Geoff Petrie, the president of the Kings, would not say whether or not Wright would be placed on suspension.  Instead, he said the team would wait out the legal process.

He said, "We are extremely disappointed in the situation Antoine has created for himself and the organization."
