Wrong Way Driver Arrested for DUI

On Saturday morning, a driver who was traveling the wrong way on the 405 Freeway in North Hills was charged with driving under the influence and possession of a controlled substance during the morning hours.
22-year-old Luis Castro was allegedly driving North in the southbound lane in the panorama city area of San Bernardino Valley, which is north of Los Angeles.
While driving under the influence, Castro allegedly caused two separate DUI accidents. The first occurred when a Honda CRV had to swerve into another traffic lane to avoid Castro and hit a Ford truck. The second incident occurred when a Nissan SUV tried to avoid hitting Castro and crashed into a small Kia, causing vehicular damage. Thankfully, no one was injured during the collision.
After being arrested, it was revealed that Castro was driving on a suspended license and was free on bail from a separate criminal case. He was booked for DUI, violating the terms of his license suspension and possession of a controlled substance.
