Pat Haggerty Arrested for DUI in San Diego

This weekend, former Texas state Representative Pat Haggerty was arrested in California for suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI).
Officials with the San Diego Sheriff's Department said that Haggerty was arrested by deputies during a DUI checkpoint this past Saturday. He was later released from custody after posting $2,500 bond.
Prior to his arrest, Haggerty and several other lobbyists and legislators were in San Diego for the American Legislative Exchange Council. State Senator Troy Fraser told an online news source that he was in the car with Haggerty when the DUI stop occurred and he did not believe Haggerty was intoxicated.
